SUMMARY:Connolly Ranch Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Meet trip leader Dave Fries at Gate 2 (17676 Corral Hollow Road) of the Connolly Ranch at 8:00 a.m. The gate is on Corral Hollow Rd\, just before the entrance to the OHV PARK. The Connolly’s have asked that we keep the numbers of cars to a minimum\, so those coming from the Stockton area will meet at the old Toot Sweets parking area (4755 Quail Lakes Dr\, Stockton\, CA 95207) at 7:15 a.m. to form car pools. It’s extremely important to be at the gate on time\, as once we enter\, the gate will be closed and locked behind us. Expect to bird all morning then have a self provided picnic before leaving around 1:00 p.m. Wear boots as hiking in the hilly terrain can be difficult and rattlesnakes are abundant in this area. \n\nContact Dave Fries at dfries.audubon@gmail.com with any questions.

SUMMARY:Medford Island Fieldtrip
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the dock at the end of Eight Mile Rd at 8:00 a.m. for boat transport to the Island. Peter Ottesen will host us. The levee road at Potato Slough is closed\, so you will need to tell the security guard that you are going to Medford Island. Access to the Clubhouse facility will be available. Plan to bird by walking parts of the Island all morning. Bring your own food for lunch at the clubhouse around 1:00 p.m.\, and transport off the Island shortly there after. We’ll especially be looking for signs of nesting Yellow-breasted Chats\, as well as other late migrants. \n\nContact Dave Fries at dfries.audubon@gmail.com with any questions.

SUMMARY:McDonald Island Fieldtrip
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the bridge to McDonald Island at 8:00am. The bridge is next to the Tiki Lagoon Marina. We must cross the private bridge to the Island as a group\, so don’t be late. Birding will be a mix of driving and walking different habitat areas. The Island is usually a hot spot for Blue Grosbeaks\, Tanagers and nesting Yellow Warblers\, but expect the species count to reach the 70s. There’s usually a pot-a-pot somewhere along the route. Bring your on food and drink as we normally eat lunch somewhere along the levee drive. Expect to leave sometime around 2:00 p.m.\, but you can exit the Island earlier if necessary. \n\nContact Dave Fries at dfries.audubon@gmail.com with any questions.
